Youth Power is a six-week, Monday and Wednesday 3:30 – 5:00 pm* course designed specifically for kids’ ages 12 – 14*. During these 90 minutes we spend approximately 30 minutes in a “class” setting focusing on a variety of subjects; such things as basic nutrition, anatomy and physiology, muscles and their connective tissues, program design and cardio-respiratory fitness; the last 60 minutes is spent in the Fitness center or Aerobics room depending on the day’s lesson for practical instruction with all of the equipment available. Gym etiquette and proper form and technique are taught and stressed throughout. Incomplete notebooks are given out in the beginning and are completed and maintained. A final exam and practical evaluation must be passed in order to receive unaccompanied limited use of the fitness center.

The fee is $100.00, which includes all materials and training. Applications are available at the front desk. For any further information contact the fitness center at 916-7946 ext.107. *Class duration fluctuates depending upon attendance and the day’s lesson. *Age limit is 12 – 14. The child must turn 12 before the end of the course no exceptions!!
